About the role and what you'll be doing:

Ensono’s Expert Solution Consultants are seasoned technologists focused on pushing forward technical innovation and transformation within the solution sets we provide. They work closely with our clients to understand their business drivers and objectives. Through collaboration with internal technologists, Solution Consultants create solutions that drive value for our clients. They also provide client and industry feedback to Ensono’s internal teams, which allows Ensono to adjust our product and technology roadmaps. And finally, they are the lead Architects delivering complex projects and programs for our clients.

The Solution Consultant team works alongside and supports Sales, Consulting and Client Success organizations to service our clients. They work with the clients’ business and technical teams to create reference architecture frameworks and templates. They lead the effort to execute multi-year transformation initiatives. To that end, Solution Consultants must be effective in fostering executive level relationships with an emphasis on client satisfaction. Throughout the engagement process, from discovery to solution implementation, a Solution Consultant must work with and at times lead multi-disciplinary teams. Ultimately, he/she remains the owner of the overall technical solution.

• Support strategic programs as the Lead Solution Architect for all initiatives
• Collaborate with counterparts in the Sales, Consulting and Solution organizations to create Pursuit, Solution, Sales and Solution strategies for Enterprise clients
• Conduct discovery, assessment and solution development workshops (often in collaboration with resources from consulting, operations and product teams) to craft winning solutions
• Develop and document solutions that meet client’s (technical and business) requirements and allow them to adapt to changing industry needs with a focus on transformation and re-platform efforts
• Conduct solution development sessions and present technical solutions and business cases to a wide variety of audience
• Gain executives buy in for complex solutions by engaging in executive and Expert-level technology discussions
• Work with finance and pricing teams to create simple pricing to complex multi-year financial models
• Gain clients’ confidence as a trusted advisor by offering consultation and recommendations drawn from insights, technology know-how and past experiences
• Align and partner with Product Management to help drive appropriate product enhancements and changes to technology roadmap
• Aid in driving stability and innovation within the client’s current and future state and create solutions based on client requirements and available product offerings
• Push for higher value/value added services and solutions to the customer in line with Ensono’s offerings
• Partner with the PMO and Solution organizations and lead complex projects from an Architecture perspective
• Help create Solution/migration plans, from high level program frameworks to detailed project plans and cut-over runbooks.
• Assist the team as the architecture lead through key migration milestones such as testing, cut-over, post cut-over trouble-shooting and operational hand-off.

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, consulting, solution engineering, or technical leadership roles within managed services, cloud, infrastructure, hosting, or datacenter environments.
• Proven experience designing, positioning, and leading large-scale IT outsourcing, datacenter, hybrid cloud, and public cloud solutions for enterprise clients.
• Previous experience as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Pursuit Architect, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent client-facing technical leadership role supporting complex solution sales and business development activities.
• Deep technical expertise across infrastructure domains, including compute, storage, networking, security, backup, disaster recovery, automation, DevOps, and IT governance.
• Strong knowledge of public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud architectures, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Demonstrated ability to develop multi-year technology transformation and modernization roadmaps that align business objectives, operating models, financial outcomes, risk considerations, and technology strategy.
• Ability to lead client discovery sessions, assessments, architecture workshops, and solution design engagements, translating business requirements into executable technical strategies.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience supporting solution pricing, cost modeling, business case development, financial analysis, and contract negotiations.
• Thorough understanding of enterprise sales processes and experience leading technical workstreams throughout complex pursuit lifecycles, from qualification through contract execution and transition to delivery.
• Exceptional executive communication, presentation, facilitation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively influence and engage business and technology leaders across multiple organizational levels.
• Proven ability to create high-quality solution documentation, architecture deliverables, executive presentations, technical proposals, statements of work, and other client-facing deliverables.
• Demonstrated success collaborating across sales, delivery, engineering, product, operations, and executive leadership organizations while fostering alignment, knowledge sharing, and successful client outcomes.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to operate effectively in highly complex, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving business and technology environments.
• Demonstrated executive presence, emotional intelligence, accountability, and sound judgment, with the ability to manage client expectations, navigate challenging situations, challenge conventional thinking, and maintain credibility under pressure.
• US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
• Advanced degree (MBA or Master's degree) preferred.
• Professional certifications from Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VMware, Cisco, TOGAF, ITIL, or comparable industry-recognized programs.
• Experience leading large-scale infrastructure transformation, cloud migration, application modernization, platform engineering, and operational transformation initiatives.
• Experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP), Cloud Service Provider (CSP), Systems Integrator, Global Systems Integrator (GSI), or large-scale consulting organization.
• Industry-recognized architecture, cloud, consulting, or technology leadership accreditations and certifications.
• Experience beyond traditional virtualized infrastructure environments, including container orchestration, cloud-native platforms, and modern application hosting architectures utilizing Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Nutanix, and comparable technologies.

Travel:

• Travel to various Ensono locations and client sites will be frequent; estimated 30% of weeks will involve travel, more in first year of role for on-boarding and client engagement.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $150,000 to $204,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
