About Remote Landers
How this started
I'm Yann, the person behind Remote Landers. This site started on a drive. I was picking my niece, Sugar, up from school on the day her summer break started, and on the way she told me the summer job she'd lined up had fallen through — the offer had been pulled before she'd even started.
She was going to start job hunting again, and I found myself thinking about remote work — not as a fallback, but as a genuinely better direction for her to start in. She was studying computer science, the kind of background that travels well across a screen, and remote work meant she wasn't limited to whatever happened to be hiring nearby. So instead of just pointing her toward job boards, we decided to build one together — something she could work on as real, hands-on experience, not just another application to send out.
Building it meant deciding what the site's own rules should be. I'd spent enough time job hunting myself to know exactly which parts of that process wasted my time: listings that called themselves "remote" but expected you in an office two days a week, postings with no salary range at all, application flows that made you create an account before you could even see the job. Those weren't abstract complaints — they were the specific things we wrote rules against from day one. Real salary, disclosed upfront. Actually remote, not remote-flexible. No account required to apply.
That's still the standard every listing on this site is held to.
Mission
Help people find remote work that's actually what it says it is — real pay, real flexibility, no hoops to jump through just to apply.
Vision
A job search where "remote" means what it claims to mean, and finding real, well-paid, fully remote work doesn't take more effort than it should.
Values
Quality over quantity. We'd rather list fewer jobs that are real, current, and worth your time than pad the numbers with anything that fits the word "remote."
Transparency first. Salary ranges, work arrangements, and application processes should be clear before you invest any time — not discovered three steps into an application.
Respect people's time. Every rule on this site exists because something wasted our time once. Filtering hard on the front end means less wasted effort on yours.
Access without friction. Job hunting is hard enough without a login wall. Free to browse, free to apply, no account required.
What makes this different
- No account required. Applying through Remote Landers never means creating a login with us. Click apply, and you go straight to the employer.
- Real salary, not "competitive compensation." We prioritize listings that disclose an actual pay range.
- Actually remote. Hybrid roles are filtered out. If it's here, it's meant to be worked from wherever you are.
- Filtered, not just aggregated. Every listing is screened for whether it's genuinely open and current — the goal is fewer dead ends, not more volume.
- Nothing sits here after it's stale. We check whether postings are still live and remove the ones that aren't.
- Free, with no catch. Browsing, filtering, and applying cost nothing, for everyone.
