The Facilities Engineer II is responsible for maintaining building infrastructure and systems through the execution of repairs, maintenance, and preventative care activities. This role requires the ability to respond effectively to emergency situations while ensuring optimal operational performance of all facility systems and equipment.

- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including but not limited to fires, power outages, gas leaks, water leaks, and other critical facility incidents requiring immediate intervention.
- Execute preventative maintenance activities on equipment and machinery in accordance with established maintenance schedules to ensure system reliability and longevity.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building infrastructure as required to maintain operational standards.
- Oversee renovation and remodeling projects, ensuring completion in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
- Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting and applying engineering drawings and principles to maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination through two-way radio systems during all operational activities.
- Preferred: Vocational or technical school training with a minimum of 3 years of facilities engineering or related maintenance experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and applying engineering principles to maintenance and repair activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
- Proficiency in the safe and effective operation of hand and power tools.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant safety standards and equipment operation protocols.
- Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively via two-way radio systems.
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to emergency situations and critical facility incidents.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout assigned shifts, with capability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined spaces as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary certifications and licenses relevant to the position.
