- Demonstrates the ability to manage the classroom for effective learning
- Exhibits full knowledge of competency-based and computer assigned instruction, cooperative learning techniques, and trainee engagement through classroom observation
- Maintains lesson plans relevant to course material
- Creates innovative and interactive training for the students
- Coordinates and engages with the academic department for integrated learning opportunities
- Assists with job placement, military, college, and post-secondary education and obtaining primary credentials
- Develops industry partnerships that could lead to work-based learning, internships, and job placement outcomes
- Minimum of Associates Degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- At least two years' related experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
- Must be able to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and practical situations such as probability, statistical inference, and proportions
- Valid State Driver’s License recommended
- Certification/experience in vocational trade preferredFor the National Trade Council, the instructor must be certified by a union or trade organization or by a national trade certifying organization
