We're looking for a part-time contract Community and Member Advocacy Manager to help grow Virta's member engagement through a few key projects. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships, bringing people together, and creating meaningful experiences that strengthen our Virta member community.
You'll work directly with members and member ambassadors to coordinate local events, support community-building efforts on social media, and help transform participating members into long-term Virta advocates.
Throughout the process, you will also help identify compelling member stories that can support the communications and marketing teams.
This is a highly collaborative role for someone who is energized by connecting with people and thrives in a fast-moving environment.
As part of the communications team, you’ll support three main initiatives, through a 12-week sprint, with a laser focus on growing our Virta member community.
Our Member Meet-Up Program is a new program we’re building to encourage peer-to-peer support and to help our members connect with one another in meaningful ways - from coffee shop convos, to park walks, to recipe swaps.
You will help manage the day-to-day operations of the program, and work directly with Virta members to help plan and execute local meet-ups for the next meet-up cycle. This process includes:

In this role, you will help build authentic relationships with our community through ongoing communication and support across Virta’s social platforms.
Virta’s member stories and testimonials are one of our most powerful growth engines. They build trust with prospective members, inspire current ones, and strengthen client partnerships through real-world proof of outcomes.
You will focus on sourcing, organizing, and managing Virta member stories that are gathered while supporting the Member Meet-Up Program and Member Community Management projects, and support multiple, internal Virta teams by providing member stories for their initiatives.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is an expected hourly rate of $45-50/hour.
As part of your duties at Virta, you may come in contact with sensitive patient information that is governed by HIPAA. Throughout your career at Virta, you will be expected to follow Virta's security and privacy procedures to ensure our patients' information remains strictly confidential.
