Sales Manager, Mid-Market - Base44

Job Description

We’re building the go-to-market team for Base44, an AI-powered software development platform recently acquired by Wix. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of introducing a category-defining product to the market, leading the Mid-Market sales team, shaping the sales strategy, driving pipeline, and helping close strategic deals from the ground up. This is a remote position based in the United States.

As a Sales Manager, Mid-Market, you will:

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of Mid-Market Account Executives, including hiring, onboarding, and ramping new reps
• Run a coaching-first operating cadence: weekly 1:1s, call coaching, deal reviews, pipeline reviews, and QBRs
• Coach reps on owning the full sales cycle, from outbound prospecting to closing new business
• Help reps translate Base44’s product vision into real-world conversations that resonate with technical and business stakeholders
• Stay close to the most important deals and jump in as a player-coach where it moves the outcome
• Shape the foundational Mid-Market sales motion to support future scale, including messaging, outreach strategies, and customer segmentation
• Coach reps on building relationships with decision-makers, including VPs, CTOs, and heads of product
• Accurately forecast deals, manage pipeline coverage, and hold the team to CRM best practices
• Read pipeline and performance data to spot patterns, diagnose what is driving results, and decide what to change
• Bring AI into how your team works, from prep and outreach to call review and coaching, and share what works across the org
• Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and leadership to align go-to-market efforts
• Act as a feedback loop between the market and the product team to influence roadmap and positioning

We are seeking candidates located in or near the Salt Lake City, Utah, or San Diego, California area.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of B2B sales experience in a technology company, including 3+ years directly managing quota-carrying AEs, with a track record of team attainment and improved win rates
• Strong personal track record of exceeding quota and closing complex deals
• A proven coach who can break down a deal, give direct feedback, and visibly improve rep performance
• A strong problem solver who thinks creatively and independently, and can point to a significant problem you solved for your company
• Hands-on use of AI with your team, with real examples of how it changed the way your team sells or operates
• High emotional intelligence: you build trust, give candid feedback with care, and lead through ambiguity and change
• Strong analytical skills: you are comfortable reading a data set, pulling out the insights, and turning them into action
• Experience with AI, ML, data platforms, or product-led SaaS companies
• Experience with bottom-up sales motions, leveraging individual contributors (ICs) to expand adoption within an organization
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity in a high-growth environment
• Located in or near the Salt Lake City, Utah, or San Diego, California area

If you want to shape a category as it takes off, this is your seat. ** Compensation: The approximate base compensation is $125,000 - 155,000/yr. In addition to the base pay, this role includes variable compensation earned and company RSUs as part of the compensation package. Final offer may vary and will be determined by various factors including location the role is expected to be performed, shift, candidate profile, and ideal qualifications.
